Mixing, Business, Planning the Party of the Year, and The First Jam With the Live Band – Update on Lots of Things
Hello dearest readers of this blog.
Lots of stuff has been happening lately, and now more and more things are set in stone, so it's time for an update on everything Robshaw.
The record is getting mixed right now, and Simon Petraki is doing an amazing job. Simon told me Crowder's End is pretty much as important to him as it is to me, and that makes all the difference. The preliminary mixes I've heard so far are incredible. This record is a token staple of XXIrst-century music indeed.
My record label, FSL Productions, is now officially running. More on that in a short while, but we're getting serious here. Montreal's about to get hit by a sexy, refreshingly twisted storm.
The album launch plan is coming together. Also more on that a bit later. It'll be the party of the year. Get your zombie outfits ready, is all I'm sayin' now.
And last night, I've had my first jam with the boys of my live band. The music and I are graced with the talent and drive of Jose Salvador Zarate and Julian Stirpe on guitars, Sean Martin on bass, and Chris Brun Del Re on drums. They have shown me incredible enthusiam in regards to my project, and after last night, I know the music remains in good hands. I am lucky, honoured and psyched to be playing with such amazing, brilliant, sexy men -they are the kings, the gods, the wild-music-power-forces that will rock your world like it's never been rocked before.
And we've already had a few silly band moments, including getting stuck in an elevator and That Moment When guitar players start talking about effects pedals and apps and things, and the rhythm section's like SO…
I've never been this happy in my life. I've never felt more grateful to be alive. 1339 Crowder's End is a wonderful place. The boat is still sailing smooth, and the Winds are in our favour.
